Pepperina Hill provides an invaluable adventure education experience for all boys. The highly regarded and well appreciated programme combines bushwalking, camping, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, orienteering and a ropes course. The primary goals of these annual week-long visits to Pepperina Hill are the development of the boys' self confidence, self awareness and self esteem, together with the maturing of interpersonal skills. Requisite skills and knowledge are thoroughly taught to enable the boys to participate successfully in the various activities.

Pepperina Hill is also used for writers' camps, musical composition camps, study camps and fieldwork in senior courses. Clubs and activities groups visit at weekends. The Astronomy Club, for instance, uses the Centre's observatory facilities. Pepperina Hill is led by two qualified resident teachers.

Over the past decade a number of annual residency programmes have been introduced to extend boys in particular fields. Writing, art and musical composition programmes are now firmly established; most recently a Scientist-in-residence programme has been successfully trialed.
